Students will gain skills in measuring, planning, and assembling various household items and toys.

Game Design
Students learn how to use game development software and tools to design and build a two-dimensional computer game. They will explore the basics of game programming, graphics, animation, and sound. Software: Game Maker.

Lemonade Stand – Micro-Business
Students explore the different components that go into creating and running a business through the creation of their own lemonade stand. From marketing and advertising to pricing and creation of a product, students will get their own week-long adventure in the world of small business.

Mini-Med School
Have you ever wondered how your heart pumps, eyes see, or lungs breathe? Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore the inner workings of the human body. This hands-on, laboratory-based experience provides your child an opportunity to: dissect an eyeball, listen to their heart, learn basic first aid, hold a brain, tour an ambulance, learn CPR, and many more activities that explore the wonders of the human body at CART Mini-Med School.

Optical Illusions
What happens when art and science crash into each other? Illusion confusion…come learn how to create illusions that can be used to astonish your friends and family. In this class, students will learn the basic anatomy and physiology behind some of the most popular illusions. Students will learn how the eyes and the brain work together to perceive the world. By the end of this course, students will have created their own book of illusions to take home with them.

Pixel Playground
Does your child love being creative? Pixel Playground is all about unleashing creativity and having fun with a variety of creative tools. Students will be engaged as they learn to use digital tools needed for 21st-century media literacy. This class is for students who enjoy design, telling stories, and love to be creative.

Robots, Rockets & Airplanes
Future Engineers and Manufacturers wanted. If you’ve ever thought that you would like to program a robot, build and fly an airplane, or design and launch a rocket, then this is the place for you! Through hands-on activities, our learners will program a robot to perform tasks all on its own, build and fly a model airplane, and design and launch an air-powered model rocket.
