We are proud of our success thus far and are continuously revising coursework to be responsive to the challenges of business and industry. CART has a lot of visibility worldwide, as we are the largest high school reform project in the nation. Leaders and educators from around the nation, and even the world, visit CART. Here are a few of our accomplishments:

• CART is the only school of its kind and is the largest high school reform project in the world
• Students are given relevant work; they provide research for community based organizations, public and private entities.
• CART was the recipient of the EAST Grant. Students learn to use Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Global Information Systems (GIS).
• CART was named a Microsoft© “Center of Excellence” in 2003.
• CART has increased the number of students graduating from high school.
• CART has increased the number internships available to high school students.
• CART has three core elements: integrated curriculum, project based learning and career focused labs
• CART offers students a personalized educational experience.
• CART teachers work with individual students to strengthen academic skills so all students pass the High School Exit Exam.
• Students are motivated to pursue excellence when projects are relevant to them. Working with businesses and individuals in the community on a “real” project inspires students to achieve their full potential.
• CART strives to make its students better citizens, more informed civic minded adults. CART instills a sense of responsibility for community and world issues and requires students to think for themselves.
